It was such a treat to be apart of Nicholas and Lydia’s engagement two years ago, just days before Nicholas left for Marine basic training! At the time I didn’t know what day they would plan their wedding but I had to be apart of this precious day to celebrate them as husband and wife! Let’s just say I was on the front row seat of all posted wedding plans! I was already too emotionally invested!
It’s been a challenging season for Nicholas and Lydia maneuvering new grounds as a Marine, college schedules, and their engagement season long-distance, Georgia to California!! Their wedding day was a celebration of so many things – together. Amazingly Nicholas and Lydia’s families were close friends growing up! They have pictures of the two of them at family functions as young children which only made their wedding day even more special. It was one big family uniting!
Nicholas and Lydia are some of the most joyful couples. Their love for each other is infectious and intentional. I easily squealed when Lydia told me she and Nicholas wanted to do a first look, to complete as many photos before the ceremony so they could spend more time with their guests at the reception! BUT this also meant MORE time for bride and groom portraits before and after the ceremony AND they got more time together on their wedding day! I mean, how precious are they?!
I am so excited to share of my favorite images from Lydia and Nicholas’ wedding day – it’s been a joy reliving this day again. And such an honor to hear Lydia still looks at these pictures daily (some weeks later!)!
Best. Job. Ever!
