When Rebekah, owner and creator of Florologie, asked me about partnering with her vision, I couldn’t say YES fast enough!
Working with a few vendors I’ve joyfully gotten to know over the last few years and excitedly a few new ones, it was so excited to see the details of this timeless celebration come together. This was my first time working with Shana of Iris and Marie Letterpress in real life! To hold and photograph her work was incredible. She has such a gift. Overjoyed to have her in town for the day for this shoot and witness her in her element!
The setting was perfectly chosen, Augusta’s Marion Hatcher Center, a beautiful Georgian style home built in 1835, complete with tall ceilings and windows, antique chandeliers, ornate fireplaces, and a dreamy front porch complete with a winding staircase and Corinthian columns.
One of Elegant Bridals‘s own, Alice, modeled for the day in an elegant gown featuring a unique lace bodice and tulle skirt that featured appliques throughout. Watching her twirl in this dress felt like straight out of a movie!
A work of art on its own, the cake, created by Hey Honey Cakery, echoed the timeless meets modern vision, and was complimented with fresh fruits, florals, and Tree House Macaroons combined. It smelled so good my mouth was watering! I’ve yet to taste one of Tree House’s desiccant macaroons or Kelsie‘s cakes that I didn’t love!
And speaking of florals, how amazing was this simple greenery illusion wall as a backdrop to the sweetheart table?
I can just imagine a bride and groom having their first dinner as husband and wife here – a romantic, candlelit dinner while listening to guests celebrate in the ballroom just a few feet away! Swoon!
