Tony and Rachel’s Backyard May Wedding

Last year I was apart of an incredibly intentional bridal showcase at one of our local bridal shops, Elegant Bridals. I went a little over the top and had my sweet hubs build an incredible, huge shiplap wall to display my work on to meet dozens of brides-to-be! After nearly two hours of greeting and hearing so many incredible dream-love stories Rachel walked in with her precious friend. They walked in with a full-embrace, smiles ear-to-ear, already celebrating what is to come! We hit it off – the best way to end a lovely evening!

Our coffee date was nothing short of amazing so we began wedding planning! A year to date, the same day of their three year engagement anniversary! Planning to marry on cool, December day at a farm just out of town with close family and friends. A lot of life was happening, they were dreaming about their future, and understandably feeling the stress of in-between seasons.

Rachel asked about moving their date, uprooting everything they had planned, simply speeding things up a bit! Simplifying this day to truly enjoy it with friends and family. I was so excited to share I had the availability to switch with them. It was happening!! And I could feel their relaxation and added excitement – May was the month!

Following this day, I couldn’t imagine Tony and Rachel’s wedding day any different- their closest friends and family gathered at Tony’s sister’s home to celebrate their newest adventure as husband and wife! It was such a joyful day filled with so many precious sentiments and servant-actions. They embraced each moment throughout the day individually and tearfully — thankful. Honored to share this precious day & humbled to have been apart of the newest Mr. & Mrs. Duncan!

Leading up to the wedding Tony and Rachel planned and put together so many details!! So to see the relaxation as Rachel was being pampered was worth celebrating but to see her reaction to her hair and makeup… priceless! Such a beauty!

Tony was arriving any minute so Rachel and I tucked behind the trees, little did I realize it would be the perfect pocket for a few portraits! And this is arguably of my favorite portraits of the day! Every detail was just perfect!

This suit!!!! One of my other handsome grooms wore this two-toned suit a few years ago and it’s easily become one of my favorites! Tony paired it with a felt bowtie and 1901 Couture tuxedo textured shoes – he has good taste, y’all!

I mean, STUNNING!!!

They wanted to share a special moment together before joining their guests for dinner with an iconic bottle of James Bond Bollinger champagne. Next level!! Alllll the heart eyes!

Tony prepared a mouthwatering meal for their guests! And made homemade BBQ sauce for each as a favor! (It was AMAZING!)

Hey Honey! Cakery’s cake was delicious and this was the BEST reaction to just how good it was! Rachel is a baker so this was a big deal for her to hand off this role to someone else! I told you, every moment was savored!

All the love for you two!!! xoxo
